Terms of Use
Draft for review by counsel before the public launch.
1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Tavra Labs Private Limited, Rajarajeshwarinagar, Bangalore, Karnataka, India ("Tavra Labs", "we"). They cover PetitionOS and this website. By signing in or using PetitionOS you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use PetitionOS for a chamber or firm, you confirm you may accept these terms for it.
2. What PetitionOS is
PetitionOS is software that formats information you enter into court documents and assembles them, with documents you upload, into a filing PDF. It does not give legal advice, review the merits of a matter or file anything on your behalf. Tavra Labs is not a law firm. See the Disclaimer.
3. Pilot access
- Access is by invitation, for the Google accounts we approve. We may add, suspend or remove access at any time, including to protect the service or other users.
- Each account is for one person. Do not share sign-ins. An account can be signed in on one device at a time.
- The pilot is free. We will give pilot users reasonable notice before any charges apply, and charges will not apply without your agreement.
- Pilot features may change, be withdrawn or be unavailable without notice.
4. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for everything you enter and upload, and for checking every document PetitionOS produces before you print, sign or file it.
- You must have the right to use the information and documents you handle, and you remain responsible for client confidentiality and your professional obligations.
- Case data is stored in your browser on your device. Keep project files of cases you need; we cannot recover lost drafts.
- Do not misuse PetitionOS: no attempts to break its security, reverse engineer it beyond what the law allows, overload it, or use it for unlawful purposes.
5. Ownership
Your case content and the documents you produce are yours. PetitionOS, its software, templates, design and the PetitionOS name and marks belong to Tavra Labs. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use PetitionOS for your legal practice during your access.
6. Feedback
If you send us suggestions, we may use them to improve PetitionOS without obligation to you.
7. No warranty
PetitionOS is provided "as is" and "as available" during the pilot. We work to keep formats in line with the rules and practice of the courts we support, but rules, forms and registry practice change, and we do not warrant that output will be accepted at scrutiny or is free of errors.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Tavra Labs is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from filings, objections, delays, missed limitation periods, or data lost from your device. Our total liability for any claim relating to PetitionOS is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim, which during the free pilot is nil. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Ending access
You can stop using PetitionOS at any time. We may end or suspend access if you breach these terms or when the pilot ends. Sections 4 to 8 and 10 continue after access ends.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Bangalore, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
11. Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will revise the date above; continued use after an update means you accept it. Questions: engage@tavralabs.com. Grievances: Adv. Krishna Kashyap, advocatekrishnakashyap@gmail.com, +91 74834 53561.
